Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed — you are welcome to self-refer at any time. We also accept GP Chronic Condition Management Plans (GPCCMP) and NDIS referrals.

When can I return to running after birth?

Often around three to six months, but it is individual. An assessment helps you return safely at the right time for your body.

Is it safe to lift weights?

Yes — with the right technique and a progressive plan, strength training is safe and beneficial.

What about returning after surgery?

We provide a guided, graded return after gynaecological or pelvic surgery, in line with your surgeon's advice.

I leak when I exercise — should I stop?

Leaking is a sign to get assessed, not a reason to stop for good. We can help you address it and keep moving.

What should I wear?

Comfortable activewear you can move and exercise in.

Will treatment hurt?

No. We work within your comfort and progress at your pace.

Can I claim through private health?

Yes — if your private health extras cover physiotherapy, appointments are paid in full on the day. You can then submit your receipt to your private health fund to claim any rebate.
