Good to know

Frequently asked questions

Do I need a referral?

No referral is needed — you are welcome to self-refer at any time. We also accept GP Chronic Condition Management Plans (GPCCMP) and NDIS referrals.

Are internal examinations ever done on children?

No, never. Assessment for children is always external, gentle and non-invasive.

Will my child be comfortable?

Yes. We use a calm, playful, age-appropriate approach so your child feels at ease.

Do I stay with my child?

Always. A parent or carer stays with your child throughout the appointment.

How long are appointments?

Initial appointments are longer, so there is time to listen, assess and start a plan without rushing.

What should we bring?

A bladder and bowel diary if you have one, plus any relevant medical information. If not, we will help you start one.

Will it hurt?

No. Treatment is gentle and comfortable, and we always work at your child's pace.

Can I claim through private health?

Yes — if your private health extras cover physiotherapy, appointments are paid in full on the day. You can then submit your receipt to your private health fund to claim any rebate.
