About this condition

What is giggle incontinence?

Unlike stress incontinence, the bladder often empties almost completely during laughter, while working normally the rest of the time. The exact cause isn't fully understood, but many children improve with appropriate assessment and management. It usually affects school-aged girls, but can affect boys too.
