Evidence-Based TENS Therapy at Home

Hire a TAP 2.0 TENS machine for 6 weeks for $69.00 (GST inclusive) and continue your pelvic health treatment from the comfort of your home.

TENS therapy may be recommended by your physiotherapist to help manage pelvic pain, overactive bladder, urinary urgency and frequency, or for labour pain management. Your physiotherapist will advise whether TENS is appropriate for you and provide guidance on the recommended settings and electrode placement.

Electrode Pads

Electrode pads are required to use the TENS machine and are available as a one-time purchase.

Circle Electrodes (Pack of 2)

$10.99

Suitable for most pelvic pain and bladder applications.

Butterfly Electrode (Single Pad)

$13.99

Designed for sacral placement and commonly used for bladder neuromodulation.

Please note: Electrode pads are single-patient use only. Although they are designed to last throughout the 6-week hire period (and often longer with appropriate care), they cannot be returned or reused by another patient due to hygiene and infection control requirements.

Hire Agreement

By hiring a TENS machine from Flourish Health Clinic, you agree to the following terms and conditions:

Hire Period

  • The hire fee is $69.00 and includes hire of one TAP 2.0 TENS machine for 6 weeks.

  • The hire period commences from the date of collection or dispatch.

Returning the TENS Machine

  • The TENS machine must be returned at the conclusion of the 6-week hire period.

  • An additional 1-week grace period is provided to allow for return postage.

  • The device must be received by Flourish Health Clinic within 7 weeks of the hire commencement date.

Return Shipping

  • Return postage or courier costs are the responsibility of the hirer.

  • We recommend using a tracked postal service, as the hirer remains responsible for the device until it has been received by Flourish Health Clinic.

Late Returns

  • A $50.00 late fee will apply if the TENS machine has not been returned within 7 weeks of the hire commencement date.

Care of the Equipment

While the device is in your care, you agree to:

  • Use the TENS machine only as instructed.

  • Keep the equipment clean and in good working condition.

  • Not modify, repair or dismantle the device.

  • Use the TENS machine only for the person hiring the equipment.

Lost or Damaged Equipment

The TENS machine remains the property of Flourish Health Clinic throughout the hire period.

If the device is lost, stolen or damaged beyond normal wear and tear, Flourish Health Clinic reserves the right to recover the reasonable costs associated with repair or replacement.

Electrode Pads

Electrode pads are supplied as a single-patient-use consumable.

They:

  • Are purchased separately from the hire.

  • Cannot be shared between people.

  • Cannot be returned for refund or reuse.

  • Remain the property of the purchaser.

Safe Use

TENS therapy may not be suitable for everyone.

By hiring this device, you confirm that you have discussed its use with your physiotherapist or healthcare professional, understand the recommended settings and electrode placement, and will use the equipment according to the advice provided.

Consent

Before completing your hire, please confirm the following:

☐ I have read and agree to the TENS Machine Hire Agreement.

☐ I understand that electrode pads are a single-patient-use item and are non-refundable.

☐ I understand that return postage is my responsibility and that the TENS machine must be returned within the agreed hire period.

☐ I understand that a $50 late fee applies if the TENS machine is not returned within 7 weeks of the hire commencement date.

☐ I understand that I may be charged for repair or replacement if the TENS machine is lost, stolen or damaged beyond normal wear and tear.
